Currently: Back home and settling in
listening … the hum of my ice maker. It’s broken at the moment, so it hums a little louder than it should, almost as a reminder to fix it. Need to add that to my ever-growing list of things to do.
wearing … jeans, a black and gray striped shirt and gray Converse. I made a point of putting on real clothes this morning after my shower and I even put on my makeup. I’m feeling a little sorry for myself, since I’ve gained a little weight, so I haven’t wanted to get dressed most mornings.
drinking … a large Starbucks refillable cup full of ice water. I just finished my morning Diet Dr. Pepper. I’m trying to cut back on my soda consumption, as it has gotten out of control again.
thinking … I should watch a view online tutorials about fancy ways to do hair. Shelby is growing her bangs out and I need some creative, cute ways to keep them out of her eyes. My sister-in-law French braided Shelby’s bangs over the weekend and she looked so cute. I tried to do the same braid yesterday and after three attempts, I got something she could wear, but it wasn’t as cute as when Tawhnee did it.
wishing … it was summer. More consistent sunshine. No school. Lots of swimming. Fun vacations. Yep, I’m craving summer and it’s only January. I’m in trouble.
reading … I just finished “Gone Girl” and “Bossy Pants.” I’ve been reading a lot more lately, which is an ongoing goal of mine. Less TV and other time wasting activities. Next up for me is “Casual Vacancy,” by J.K. Rowling.
eating … blueberry Greek yogurt. I’m back on the “eating right” train, so I’m paying attention to everything I put into my mouth and cutting back considerably. Let’s hope I see some progress on the scale, fast!
wondering … what we should do for Spring Break. It’s two months away, which seems like a long time, but if I want to plan something fun … I gotta get on it.
enjoying … blogging over at Two Peas in Bucket. It’s been a great motivator to keep up with my Project Life pages and brainstorm ideas that will be helpful for other digi Project Lifers.
feeling … triumphant. Coop has really made great strides with potty training. It’s exciting, but a little sad. He’s growing up way too fast.
wanting … to eat boxes and boxes of Girl Scout cookies. But I can’t. Instead, I counted out five of the Savannah Smiles (the lemon flavored cookies) and called it good. Much better for my butt and thighs.
needing … to get more organized. I’m pretty uptight when it comes to maintaining order and routine, but as of late all of my creative teams obligations, personal creative projects and blogging has been chaotic. I need to sit down and write down all of my monthly deadlines and come up with a workable plan.
weather … it’s a little overcast today. The sun is trying to peek out, but after yesterday’s rain it’s a little shy.
