listening … to Mike and Cooper softly snoring. Well, Coop’s snores are soft. Mike’s not so much.

wearing … my pajamas. I’m sitting in the dark on my hotel room couch. Mike and Cooper are still asleep in the room next door. Shelby is a few doors down, in my parent’s hotel room. As soon as we arrived at our hotel, she quickly convinced them to let her sleep in their room.

drinking … some bottled water. We stocked our hotel room refrigerator with water, chocolate milk and Diet Dr. Pepper … our family’s favorite drinks.

thinking … I should try to go back to sleep for an hour or so. Otherwise, I might have a really, really rough day.

wishing … the sun was up and it was time to go Disneyland. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. We surprised Shelby and Cooper with this trip and it’s so much fun to watch how excited they have been. Excited to fly on the airplane. Excited to go to Disneyland. Excited when they realized Papa was also here, as well as Uncle Chris and his crew. It has been so much fun to dole out surprise after surprise.

reading … to the book Gone Girl thanks to Audible … love me some audio books! I should be asleep since its only 5:20 a.m., but I can’t sleep. I actually woke up at 4 a.m., I think I’m still on Danish time.

eating … nothing at the moment.  Though I’m hungry and ready for breakfast.

wondering … how my back will hold up today with all the walking we’ll be doing. I’ve had a lot of flair ups the last few weeks, so I’m not sure how things will shake out.  Fingers crossed.

enjoying … watching Shelby and Coop interacting with their cousins. Coop always idolizes the bigger cousins and whenever they leave the room starts yelling “Where are my cousins?”

feeling … grateful to be on vacation with my family in a warm and sunny place. Denmark was so, so cold. I actually wore a short-sleeved shirt yesterday and it felt so yummy.

wanting … to get lots and lots of great photos from our adventures over the next few days. We’re going to try out Disney’s PhotoPass+ … So I’m really excited to see all the photos we get back.

needing … to take a deep breath and let things go. I’m a little stressed out about a few things, but there isn’t anything I can do about most of these things at the moment. So instead of stressing, I just need to let things go for the moment. I can get back to the “stuff” on Monday, post vacation.

weather …  it’s warm and sunny her in So. Cal. So warm that we hit the pool yesterday afternoon. The kids loved the chance to splash around and play in the sun. I soaked up the sun from poolside. It was heavenly.

Enjoy your time in Anaheim! We used to go there every year for a conference in November and it was a GREAT break from the looming cold! Try Soarin’ in the California Adventure park…one of my favorite rides ever, and so glad they have it in Epcot since we go to Florida more often than Cali.

We surprised our kiddos with a Disney trip in 2011…it was FUN! Such great memories! I’m excited for you to have that fun, ’cause I remember how much fun it was for DH and I to do that for our kids.

Try to keep feeling grateful and work on letting things go. Like you said, those “things” will still be there Monday, but this wonderful mini-vacation only lasts a short time…soak up that vacation thrill!
