Project Life: Getting started

Starting my second year of Project Life has been exciting. Exciting because I love the project and exciting because I get a second chance and doing it right. Right? By right I mean I can toss out some of the bad habits I picked up last year and adopt new, more efficient practices.

My biggest downfall in 2012 was not setting aside a specific day and time to work on putting my pages together. I assembled my weekly pages whenever I had time. and guess what? There were lots of week I didn’t have time, so I’d put off the process until later. And that’s exactly how I ended up falling behind. And when I’d fall behind I’d get frustrated, disappointed and generally cranky.

For 2013 I’ve decide to work on my pages each Sunday afternoon. I’d like to keep my production time to about an hour (hello timer), but realistically it takes me two to three. I’m okay with that, as I actually really enjoy the process.

Twice a month (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) I’ll be blogging about Project Life and what works for me over at the Two Peas in a Bucket Digital blog. Check out my first installment here.

Are you doing Project Life in 2013? Is this your first time? How have you prepared? If you’re a veteran, any advice? This week I linked up with The Mom Creative, a site filled with great Project Life inspiration.

I have decided to start it this year, provided I can get enrolled in this online PSE class. I hope to get started with the class this weekend and then get started with PL. You have inspired me!

I am new to Project Life this year (actually decided to order on January 2nd). Iamfrom Germany and PL isn’t a big6 ‘thing’ here yet. But I love what you have come up with and will definitley be back regularly.

    Kind regards from Germany,
    Alex

  3. Your Post is very inspiring and I will be following you too this year. After 2 years of December Diary I’m ready to give PL a go. I’m going to Hybrid a go and buy the basic stuff and add to it. I’ve never tried digital as I love textures and feel of pages/embellishments, however how do you print your completed pages? Thanks

  4. Wonderful! I found my way here through your free printables on pinterest. Thanks for those! Lovely.

  5. Hi Kimberly!

I just recently found your blog and freebies through pinterest. I’m waiting for my PL stuff to come in the mail. And to prepare, I’m trying to print some of your 3×4 cards. But I am having trouble. Do you have to a Media Fire account to print them? I set one up, but still am unsuccessful. Any tips? Thanks a bunch!
