Project Life: Some Weeks are Easy

Holy Moly Cow (as my son would say)! My pages came together so fast this week. I followed my newly tweaked workflow, which helped … but the real reason things came together so quickly was I had a personal deadline that I had to meet. It was a hard deadline, so I couldn’t just push it off when I didn’t finish. I respond well to really tight deadlines (though I totally blow off artificial deadlines).

We had a pretty busy week, filled with activities (science fair, parties, Valentine’s Day, Girl Scouts), so that also made it easy to create my pages.

Really, I needed a week like this. I was getting a little frustrated with how slow the whole process was for me. I feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle another week.

Glad it’s working for you. Mine is still really slow going right now. I’m hybrid but a lot more digi (words on photos, digi labels, collages, B&W photos and journaling cards) than last year. I tried simplifying my card choices and fonts. (Thanks for those font suggestions, btw.) But its still slow. I think a lot of it is I’m still trying to figure out what looks good. I’m planning to use a digi template this week to mock up the layout. I’ll still print the individual pieces but I think I’ll do less re-printing and re-thinking if I can see it all laid out at once. On the plus side I love the look way better than last year’s paper core kit and handwritten journaling.

  2. Super cute. 🙂 It is funny how some weeks are easier. I’m hoping for one of those soon because I am BEHIND. LOL. Not stressing about it though. Off to read about your process.

Love this week!! I HAVE to remember to use some of my Instagram photos on a 4×6 spot in my layouts. I totally love how it looks on your pages 🙂
