ABQ: Our Annual Trek

We go to Albuquerque at least once a year. It's become a tradition that we visit my sister and her family for Fourth of July (and my nephew's birthday). Shelby looks forward to our trip and starts talking about it in April. Spending time with her cousins is one of her favorite things in the world. She loves, loves Trevor, Griffin and Savannah.

Here's a peek into our time in New Mexico. It was nothing short of awesome.

Uncle Patrick let us help with the annual driveway flag painting:

Happy 4th of July!! This year's flag is complete. Thank you Uncle Pat for letting us help. #fourthofjuly #summer2013

There were lots of treats:

There was tons of family time with laughter, hugs and kisses:

There were patriotic sisters: Patriotic sisters. Me + AJDB. #summer2013 #fourthofjuly

There were fireworks, big and small:  Let freedom ring! #fourthofjuly #summer2013

What a wonderful time we had. I'm grateful for family. I'm grateful for connection. I'm grateful for a relatively short drive for both. Until our next meet up, we'll cherish the memories made and the moments shared.
