Let the the Painting Begin ....

Before we bought out new house we decided we were going to paint every single room before we moved in. We thought it would be easier to get it all out of the way before the furniture and such was in the way. Well, we've been living in Mike's parent's motor home for almost two weeks now and the painting is about halfway done. And it's not quite as easy as we'd thought it would be ... just ask Mike and his Dad, who
are spending nearly all their time prepping, spraying, rolling, cleaning up .... and all those fun things that come with painting a house.

However, all the news isn't bad. The colors we picked look awesome and have already started to transform our cookie-cutter house into something a tad more chic. For the family room I picked a bold red. Don't freak out yet, we only did one wall. The rest of the room is a warm Navajo White, which accents the deep red and sets off the white baseboards and ceiling. Looking good if I do say so myself!

Our living room is getting a dark brown on the main wall and will be accented with the Navajo White. The downstairs office a sage green (sort of). The master bedroom will be a soft blue. And Shelby's room will have a hint of pink.

I can't wait to show everyone the finished product! I'll take some pictures this weekend and post 'em soon.
